MJF Celebration of Chinese New Year - Multiculturalism is working!

6 February 2011

Twenty members of the Muslim Jewish Forum of Greater Manchester celebrated Chinese New Year at a kosher Chinese Restaurant in Prestwich. The attendees included some members of their Quiz team who were awarded a participation prize of £250.00 in the Jewish Representative Council's Community Quiz last November. The Forum  members enjoyed a delicious Chinese meal and there was a convivial atmosphere.

Forum Co-Chair Jonny Wineberg stated "We all had an excellent evening. Muslim and Jewish people celebrating Chinese New Year together is positive proof that multi culturalism is alive and working well, despite recent newspaper reports to the contrary!"
