The Muslim Jewish Forum of Greater Manchester
Established to develop the cultural and social ties between the Muslim and Jewish communities of Greater Manchester
12 May 2020
The Foundation for Ethnic Understanding ("FFEU") is a not-for-profit organization based in New York that focuses on improving Muslim–Jewish relations and black–Jewish relations. We have been in contact with them for many years, and they help to support some of our activity and publicise our work, as we do theirs.
For Ramadan 2020, the founder Rabbi Marc Schneier has asked a number of prominent Muslims to record a 1-minute Ramadan greeting, publishing one each day during Ramadan for their worldwide audience. The full series can be watched on the FFEU's Facebook video recordings page.
Two of our Executive committee were pleased to be asked to contribute. We have embedded their recordings below.
Qaisra Shahraz is also UK Coordinator for FFEU and Founder & Executive Director of the Muslim Arts and Culture Festival MACFEST UK.
